Social activities & fun of NBV 5 included attractive boat cruising to Brioni Islands, trips to Istria and authentic entertainment program which significantly contributed to a positive and relaxed atmosphere of the conference. Tuesday, 25th of May The first sense of Istria was Welcome Cocktail Party! The night was spiced with delicious authentic food and vine enjoying sounds of traditional Croatian bend - klapa Volosko. After the opening ceremony and dinner, the rhythm speeded up and the party moved to the seaside at the Beach Disco!
Wednesday, 26th of May On the second day after the official program of the conference, we raised the anchor and sailed the waves to the Brioni Islands. It was Tito's holiday hideout and a summer residence for ancient Romans. Still shrouded in history and mystery, Brioni are one of the top Croatian islands with the remains of temples, baths and wine cellars. Today, Brioni is also a national park.
The cruising was extremely comfortable on a 39-meter long catamaran, the Prince of Venice, unique boat of this type in the region.
The gastronomic experiences for this day, both lunch and dinner, were served on board spiced with the look at 14 Adriatic pearls – Brioni Islands. Return to the hotel was around 22.00h and after day at the sea, party under the stars continued! Thursday, 27th of May On the third day, optional visit to Rovinj or sport activities were organized.
Rovinj is the most beloved town in Istria, a top sight in Croatia, and one of its most romantic spots. It was built on an island close to the coast and latter, connected with the mainland in 1763 by filling in the channel. With its pastel-colored houses clustered together on steep winding streets and topped by a Venetian bell tower, you would think you were in Italy. After sightseeing, sit back, have a cappuccino and enjoy! For those who had too much adrenalin after the innovative conference sessions, sport activities such as football, basketball and golf were available.
The last evening was dedicated to degustation of wine, cheese, see food, olive oil and certainly – his majesty truffle of Istria! Also, good music by Neno Belan & Fiumens band and DJ entertained the guests dancing until early morning hours. |
